It happened about six months ago. I was so excited about being in Paris for the first time that I couldn't imagine that it would become the most adventurous trip I've ever had.
According to my plans, I would spend two days hanging out in Paris and then I would go to London to take my six months' English Course. Everything was going well until a volcan eruption in Iceland happened.
It was the day of my flight to London. I went to the Charles de Gaulle Airport, but something was wrong. The place was so empty that I could have ridden a big noisy motorbike in it and nobody would even have noticed. I felt as if I was in a sci-fi film. The airport was closed because of the ashes from that volcano.
Finally, when I got to the check-in counter, the airline staff were talking to some passengers. They apologised for the inconvinence, but I was really upset and worried about that. I went back to the hostel I had been in, stayed there for three more days and came to London by bus.
