Seleção de Textos - The Robbery

Seleção de Textos
As semanas aqui no Reino Unido têm voado.

The Robbery

It was a sunny Monday morning in San Miguel, a small city on the out-skirts of Rio de Iguaçú As usual, José da Silva, the manager of the local bank, went to his work thinking it would be a ordinary day but he could not have imagined what was to happen.
As José walked into the bank he noticed that something was wrong.  The place was too quiet. Suddenly a man wearing black clothes and a mask appeared from nowhere and, pointing a gun at José, shouted: "Don't move!" . It was a bank robbery.
José noticed that the robber was not alone. There were another two guys with him tying Matt, the securityguard, up. "We only want the money!!" Yelled one of them in a threatened way. They were carrying guns andalso wearing black clothes and masks.
The robbers not only told José to open the safe but they also took him as a hostage. They jumped into a getaway car with one million pound and left José miles away from San Miguel in a field. He was tied up, wearing only underwear and unable to escape.
Five days later, the police found a gun in a dust bin of the city. They made a test for fingerprints and managed to identify one of the robbers and his whereabouts.
The robbers were caught at home and, to the police and José surprise, Matt was with them.
