O texto de hoje é um pequeno review do filme Brewster's Millions (Chuva de Milhões, em português) que assistimos durante uma agradável aula de sexta-feira. Comédia super-engraçada. Eu recomendo...
What would you do if you had inherited $300 million under the condition of spending $30 million in a month? That is how Brewster's Millions, a film based on a novel written by George Barr McCutcheaon, begins.
Monty Brewster (Richard Pryor) is the pitcher of a minor league baseball team in New Jersey. He and his best friend Spike Nolan (John Candy) are always getting into trouble. One day, Monty is told that he has got a $300 million inheritance from a unknown millionaire uncle but there are some conditions in the will: He must spend $30 million in a month but he cannot tell anybody about the reason why.
Directed by Walter Hill, the film shows, in a funny way, how difficult life can be if you have money because some people may approach you not for who you are but for what you can provide. In addition, it sugests a refletion about things you cannot buy or change like feelings, friendship, and good will. Very good comedy.
