Film Review
Tina Gray, a young girl who lives on Elm Street, has been dreaming about a terribly burnt man called Fred Krueger who tries to kill her in her worst nightmares. Tina's closest friends, Nancy, Glen and Rod, have also seen the same person in their bad dreams and, as they get worse, some of them realise that they can die for real if they are killed in their nightmares. That's how this spine-chilling story starts.
This is one of the most famous horror films from the eighties and also the first appearance of the iconic boogie-man Fred Krueger on the screen. A Nightmare on Elm Street has not only Wes Craven's smart story and direction but also an excellent cast. In addition, this film was the one in which Johnny Depp had his first major role. Unmissable.
